DREAM AUTOS OF THE FUTURE:

EVERYONE IS ON THE WRONG TRACK FOR THE DESIGN OF CARS FOR THE FUTURE!   As you travel around the country you very soon realize that the American people like large cars and that you could initiate a million "Cash for Clunkers" programs and never get people to switch to the new Chevy Volt or similar type cars. 
 
What I would like, and I'm sure the vast amount of Americans would like, is to have a very large luxurious car such as a Chevy Suburban, Silverado, Yukon Denali, etc  that DOES NOT RUN ON GAS!    I sincerely believe that gas powered vehicles should eventually end up in the same place as dinosaurs.  Gas powered vehicles do pollute, witness Los Angeles, Mexico City, Beijing, etc. 
 
By switching to some other type of power (such as electricity, hydrogen fuel cells, natural gas, etc) do we have to give up roominess and performance?  Heck no!  Electric vehicles generate more torque than gas powered vehicles.  Tesla Motors has come up with electric vehicles that will match the Corvette in performance as well as looks. 
 
Let's encourage our elected leaders to develop at least a modicum of common sense and realize they are on the wrong track when they try to cram everyone into a Yugo. 

Use American ingenuity to develop vehicles that Americans actually want!
