WAR
ON TERROR:
In a nutshell, "WE WIN, THEY LOSE!"
I am concerned that we are fighting a politically correct war wherein
we are far too concerned with "collateral damage" (i.e. civilian
casualties) than we are with the safety of our own troops. Our
enemy does not wear a uniform and hides behind women and children and
fights out of religious mosques. We should not risk the life of
even one of our soldiers taking unnecessary risks to safeguard the lives
of civilians.
War is indeed hell.
We need to fight the war
minimizing our casualties and maximizing their casualties. To
fight the war on terror, we need to make the enemy more afraid of us
than we are of them. As President Reagan famously said, "I
have never known a country that was attacked because it was too strong."
We should have the intelligence capability
to know the whereabouts of our enemy's leaders and "take them out"
as quickly and as efficiently as possible.
Our intelligence capability
was dramatically downgraded during the Clinton administration and is
now under direct attack by the Obama administration. We are also
fighting the war on terrorism like it's some kind of criminal problem
rather than the war it is. Either fight the war properly or not
fight the war at all. We should NEVER give terrorists the
rights of American citizens and they should all be tried by military
tribunal at Guantanamo. |
